Placing an item in the cart
On the detail page of a product you will find the "add to cart" link which will allow you to add an item to the cart. In order to do this, you will have to click on the link. When you click the link you will see several different things happening on the screen.
Firstly, the shopping cart on the right hand side will be updated with details of the product you just added to cart. This will allow you to keep track of whatever is in your cart whilst you are browsing through our site. If later on you decide you would rather not have this item in the cart you simply click on the "remove" link and it the item will be removed.
Additionally, when you click on the "add to cart" link, you will see the "Cart" link in the main menu light up and the cart total in Pounds will update. This detail provides you with a current total in all parts of our website that you might browse. Lastly, a message will show up on the page indicating you successfully added the product to the basket.
Do not worry if you clicked the link more than once as you can simply remove any additional items from the basket by using the "remove" link. You can also still adjust the cart during the checkout process itself.
Once you feel you've collected all the treasures you want and would like to go through checkout all you will need to to is click on the "Cart" link on the main menu or alternatively on the "Go to Cart" link in the mini cart on the right hand side. Both of these will allow you to reach the Cart and proceed to checkout.
